Jackie Braun is an Administrative Assistant at Garden Isle Rehab & Nursing in Kaua’i and has worked there for over 20 years. Her purpose is providing administrative support to all the departments but also loves to actively help others—the backbone of Garden Isle.
Hale Makua’s Nutrition Services Director Purpose and Fulfillment
Rose Kahiamoe, Nutrition Services Director at Maui’s Hale Makua started at the organization as a volunteer when she was only 13 years old. She later began working as an employee and has been there for over 40 years. Hale Makua is her second home. She is the “Pillar of Strength,” reliable and supportive.

Laudemer Navarro is a Certified Nurse Assistant at The Villas in Honolulu. He is known for his compassionate, humble, and caring nature—which he says reflects his Filipino culture and strong family values. In fact, the previous year’s Ohana Champion was his very own brother Rey Navarro!
